The State Financial Intelligence Service of the Kyrgyz Republic Expands International Cooperation within the Egmont Group

Within the framework of the meetings of the working and regional groups of the Egmont Group, the State Financial Intelligence Service under the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic signed Memoranda of Understanding with the Financial Intelligence Units of the Republic of Seychelles and the Republic of Madagascar.

The Memorandum of Understanding with the Financial Intelligence Unit of the Republic of Seychelles was signed on January 23, while the Memorandum with the Financial Intelligence Unit of the Republic of Madagascar was signed on January 28.

These Memoranda of Understanding were concluded with the aim of developing and strengthening international cooperation in the field of combating money laundering and the financing of terrorism, as well as ensuring the exchange of financial intelligence information in accordance with the standards and principles of the Egmont Group.

The conclusion of these Memoranda is intended to expand international engagement of the State Financial Intelligence Service under the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic and to enhance the effectiveness of detecting and preventing cross-border financial crimes.
